MECHANICAL ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Tasks:

• Design of HVAC and Plumbing for residential, commercial, institutional, and light industrial building based on current codes and local jurisdictions.
• Prepare CAD drawings and specifications for permits and construction documents.
• Survey existing project building and research on different types of equipments.
• Study existing design of project building, and evaluate equipment conditions.
• Provide different type of load calculations(heating, cooling, & water demand) to select and size different type of pumps, chillers, cooling towers, AC units, heat pumps, fans, grease traps, water heaters, booster pumps, & etc.
• Perform Energy Calculation (Title-24) to achieve energy requirements and standards, and provide pressure drop calculations to size pipes & ductworks.

Responsibility:

• Responsible for coordinating with architects and other consultant engineers to resolve conflicts on plan & during construction.
• Organize work sequences under tight schedule, and coordinate works in workgroup environment.
• Monitor projects from schematic to construction phase. Review submittals from contractors, and prepare proposals under direct supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS

•  BS degree in ME

•  PE License required.

•  Proficient in AutoCAD.

•  Good verbal and written communication skill.

•  Knowledge of MS Office.

•  Must be a team player and can work under pressure to meet deadline.
